Texas RRC Opens Bi-Monthly Virtual Sessions for Public Input

According to Permian Basin Oil & Gas Magazine, the Railroad Commission of Texas launched bi-monthly virtual listening sessions in January, giving the public direct access to regulators and subject matter experts. The sessions occur every other month via Microsoft Teams, with dial-in options and Spanish language support available.

More than 30 participants joined the November inaugural session, asking questions about orphaned well plugging, drilling permits, and other regulatory topics. The sessions include an overview of RRC functions followed by Q&A time with commission experts.
