Saipem Wins Over $3B in Eni Contracts Across July, June
Rigzone reports that Saipem has landed a string of contracts from Eni and its joint venture partners worth more than $3 billion in July alone, spanning offshore pipeline installation, drilling, FPSO construction, and biorefinery upgrades across multiple continents.
The largest recent award, worth approximately $2 billion for Saipem’s share, covers EPCI work on an FPSO unit for the Kutei North Hub Field Development Project in Indonesia’s Kutei Basin, executed through a joint venture with PT Tripatra Engineers and Constructors. That project runs an estimated 48 months and includes detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and installation.
Other July awards include a roughly $911 million package covering the Baleine Phase 3 offshore development in Ivory Coast, which involves about 31 miles of rigid pipeline installation, flexible risers and jumpers, subsea production systems, and 13 miles of subsea umbilical over a three-year execution window. Saipem also won a $260 million offshore drilling contract deploying the drillship Santorini off Cote d’Ivoire starting in early 2027, and an approximately $911 million onshore deoxygenation unit contract at Eni’s Venice biorefinery. In June, Saipem separately secured a $1 billion transportation and installation contract for Angola’s Greater PAJ project and a $1.02 billion EPC award for a gas compression plant in Saudi Arabia.
