Baker Hughes to Supply 76 Gas Turbines for Mobile Power Fleet
Baker Hughes has landed a major order to supply Dynamis Power Solutions with 76 NovaLT16 industrial gas turbines for mobile power units serving data centers and oil and gas operations across North America, World Oil reports. The order totals approximately 1.3 GW of generating capacity and includes turbines packaged with generators, gearboxes and control systems. The gas turbines were booked in the second quarter, with generators and gearboxes following in the third quarter. Dynamis will integrate the equipment into its DT17 hypermobile power platform, built to deliver rapidly deployable, natural gas-fired electricity in locations lacking permanent grid infrastructure. Baker Hughes chairman and CEO Lorenzo Simonelli said power demand in North America is accelerating as data centers, digitization and manufacturing expand.
