Baker Hughes Lands Compression, Liquefaction Orders for Venture Global's Gulf Coast Buildout
Baker Hughes will supply gas compression systems for the Cloud Connector Pipeline and a modular liquefaction solution for the Plaquemines LNG facility expansion, according to a Globe Newswire release carried by BOE Report, deepening its partnership with Venture Global LNG in Louisiana.
Market Impact
The pipeline order includes 13 gas compression systems driven by Frame 5/2E gas turbines, described as one of the largest deployments for LNG feed gas transportation in the United States. Itโs the second such order for Venture Globalโs feed gas pipeline, bringing the total fleet to 23 Frame 5/2E-driven gas compression systems supporting Plaquemines LNG. The liquefaction award covers four liquefaction blocks, made up of eight total modules, including Chart cold boxes, air coolers, centrifugal compressor technology and integrated control systems. Each block pairs two electric-motor driven single mixed-refrigerant liquefaction modules with associated compression trains. The scope mirrors a similar award Baker Hughes recently received for the CP2 project.
