According to Drilling Contractor, Valeura completed a three-well drilling campaign from the Manora A platform offshore Thailand, bringing all wells online as oil producers. The campaign included two infill development wells and one appraisal well, boosting average field production from 1,950 barrels per day to 2,626 barrels per day.

The MNA-42H horizontal well delivered the strongest results, with its 1,046-foot lateral encountering 556 feet of net oil pay. Following the Manora work, the contracted drilling rig mobilized to the nearby Nong Yao field where Valeura plans additional production wells from two wellhead platforms.

What It Means for Subcontractors

  • Southeast Asia offshore activity remains steady with immediate rig redeployment indicating sustained drilling budgets in the region
  • Horizontal development wells with strong pay zones suggest continued demand for specialized completion and production services
  • 35% production increase from three wells demonstrates operator confidence that could drive additional infill drilling campaigns
