Brasfield & Gorrie Named ENR Southeast's 2026 Contractor of the Year

According to ENR, Brasfield & Gorrie has been named ENR Southeast’s 2026 Contractor of the Year after posting a record $7.7 billion in companywide revenue in 2025, largely powered by an internal joint-venture model that paired teams across offices to pursue work no single office could land alone. The Birmingham, Alabama-based contractor topped $2 billion in data center and hyperscale campus projects last year and secured wins including a $310 million water reclamation facility in Nashville and a $505 million federal design-build project in Huntsville. The firm now operates 13 offices across the Southeast, reported 631 active projects worth $29.4 billion in 2025, and is forecasting $9.2 billion in revenue for 2026.

What It Means for Subcontractors

  • Brasfield & Gorrie’s $2 billion-plus data center and hyperscale backlog signals continued high-volume subcontracting demand across mission-critical construction in the Southeast.
  • The firm’s new Market Leadership Teams structure, covering healthcare, commercial, mission-critical, industrial, government and heavy civil, gives subcontractors a clearer path to the right point of contact for bidding by sector.
  • With 631 active projects and a forecasted $9.2 billion in 2026 revenue, trades and equipment suppliers in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, the Carolinas and Florida should expect sustained bid volume from this contractor through the year.
