According to Equipment Journal, New Holland Construction has expanded its electric equipment lineup with two new machines, the E25X mini excavator and C314X mini track loader, both unveiled at ConExpo 2026. The E25X runs on a 102-volt, 32.2 kWh lithium-ion battery with four to eight hours of runtime depending on application, while the C314X brings the same electric platform to a compact track loader format.

What It Means for Subcontractors

  • Plumbing, refrigeration, and interior construction crews can now work during business hours inside occupied retail and commercial spaces without ventilation or exhaust concerns, opening projects that were previously off-limits.
  • Utility, demolition, and foundation subcontractors working near schools, residential areas, or livestock facilities gain a practical tool for noise-sensitive sites without reworking workflows, according to New Holland’s product marketing team.
  • Reduced maintenance costs compared to diesel-powered equipment could improve margins for subcompact equipment operators over the long term.
