Examinetics Adds Two Safety Firms in Latest Consolidation Push
Examinetics, an occupational health and safety compliance provider backed by Coalesce Capital, has acquired Progressive Safety and Jurgiel & Associates, ISHN reports. The deals mark the companyโs fourth and fifth safety consulting acquisitions in the past 18 months. Progressive Safety supplies credentialed onsite safety specialists nationwide, including rapid-deployment staffing for data center construction, while Jurgiel & Associates brings industrial hygiene and environmental health consulting expertise. Combined, the additions push Examineticsโ Safety Division headcount past 50 technicians nationally and expand its geographic reach. CEO Gary Gluzberg said the acquisitions let the company better help clients โprotect their investments by reducing risks related to infrastructure projectsโ while making services more convenient across regions.
What It Means for Subcontractors
- Independent safety consultants and industrial hygienists, particularly smaller regional firms, should expect increased competition for contracts as Examinetics consolidates staffing, audits, training, and hygiene services under one national umbrella backed by private equity capital.
- General contractors on data center and large infrastructure projects may see safety staffing bids increasingly channeled through Examineticsโ expanded rapid-deployment network via Progressive Safety, a shift worth tracking when bidding site safety packages.
- Firms that currently refer clients to standalone hygiene or safety consultants should watch for pricing changes or bundled-service offers as Examineticsโ fifth acquisition in 18 months signals continued roll-up activity in the occupational health and compliance space.
