$5B Western Gateway Pipeline Just Got the Green Light
Phillips 66, Kinder Morgan and HF Sinclair have sanctioned the Western Gateway Pipeline, a 1,300-mile refined products system moving 230,000 barrels a day from St. Louis and Gulf Coast origins to Arizona and California. Phillips 66 holds 49.9%, Kinder Morgan 35.1%, and HF Sinclair the rest. The route runs new-build pipe and reversed existing lines from Borger, Texas to Phoenix, Arizona, meaning pipeline construction crews and welders should start watching this corridor now. California's looming refinery closures are the reason this got fast-tracked, so expect the schedule to stay aggressive.
