I Squared Capital to Acquire Milestone's Permian Waste Assets

Permian Basin Oil and Gas Magazine reports that Miami-based infrastructure investor I Squared Capital has agreed to acquire Milestone Environmental from SK Capital Partners, in a deal announced this week with terms undisclosed. Houston-based Milestone operates 15 permitted disposal facilities handling drilling, completion, and production waste streams across the Delaware and Midland basins in west Texas, along with the Eagle Ford and Haynesville. The company provides end-to-end treatment and disposal for both liquid and solid waste generated by oil and gas operations. I Squared Capitalโ€™s portfolio spans roughly 100 companies across about 70 countries.

What It Means for Subcontractors

  • Waste-handling and environmental services subs working with Milestoneโ€™s 15 Permian, Eagle Ford, and Haynesville disposal sites should confirm new billing contacts, invoicing procedures, and contract terms once the ownership transition takes effect, since acquisitions of this type often trigger administrative changes even when field operations continue unchanged.
  • Trucking, liquid waste transport, and solids handling contractors servicing Delaware and Midland basin sites should watch for any updated vendor qualification or insurance requirements that a new corporate owner like I Squared Capital may introduce during integration.
  • Because deal terms werenโ€™t disclosed, subs should reach out directly to Milestone site managers in west Texas to verify whether existing service agreements and pricing carry over unchanged or face renegotiation under the new ownership structure.
