According to BOE Report, Advantage Energy posted record 2025 results with production hitting 78,267 boe/d, up 10% year-over-year, while reducing debt by $76.5 million. The Calgary-based producer delivered what it calls the strongest operational outcomes in its 25-year history, led by highly efficient development drilling at its Glacier/Valhalla assets in Alberta’s Montney formation.

The company plans to commission a new 75 mmcf/d gas plant at Progress in Q2 2026 and expects production to surpass 90,000 boe/d in the second half of next year.

What It Means for Subcontractors

  • Advantage’s record liquids production (up 28%) and continued Montney drilling suggest steady work opportunities for completion, construction, and maintenance contractors in Alberta
  • The new Progress gas plant commissioning represents potential work for facility construction, electrical, and instrumentation contractors through Q2 2026
  • Strong cash flow ($381.6 million in adjusted funds flow) indicates a financially stable client less likely to delay payments or cancel projects during commodity price volatility
